Managers Should Be Ethical in their Decision Making Essay

I do think that managers should be ethical in their decision making. First let’s define what being ethical means. Ethical means being morally correct or either right or wrong so decision making is important to create a professional work environment for employees and their leaders. Being fair to all employees as well as being open minded and flexible in your decision making can make a world of a difference. If we didn’t have ethics decision making in the workplace, which gives us boundaries or what is right and what is wrong in the workplace. Not having those boundaries there are many areas that are grey that are created which may become difficult to enforce among your employees. Ethics drives the foundation of business decisions. But the associate according to my brother had never has a verbal warning and th at was his verbal warning for his attendance. So, I feel he did the right thing and giving him a verbal warning. A problem of opportunity that I would like to address in my life is that I’m looking to pursue my career as a recreation facility and program supervisor. The problem is that I’m currently a recreational leader, which is by far what I want to be at the present. My decision to be a recreation facility and program supervisor is non-programmed. Because I never planned to be this recreation facility and program supervisor once I completed my Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management. I happened to stumble upon this career and felt that this career lined up with my degree, once I started looking for other careers. My main objective to accomplish this decision is to research positions and network relating to the recreation facility and program supervisor. So, one day my dreams will come true and I will be a recreation facility and program supervisor. I must keep this mentality in mind and keep persevering until I reach that goal.
